Freelance journalist based in Phnom Penh, interested in business, human rights, health care and overall development of Cambodia. As a Forbes contributor, I cover economics and political developments in Southeast Asia, fascinated by the way this translates in the region. Based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, I first came to Southeast Asia as journalist for The Cambodia Daily, writing on business, technology and culture until the newspaper was shut down by the Cambodian government in September 2017. In the U.S., I had worked for the digital political news Talking Points Memo in New York, analyzing poll results during the 2016 U.S. election and helping improved the PollTracker system. Originally from Chicago, I graduated in journalism from Ohio University two years ago.
